Kelly Evans is anchor of CNBC’s “The Exchange” (M-F, 1PM-2PM ET), the newsroom-based program for today’s investor, and co-anchor of CNBC’s “Power Lunch” (M-F, 2PM-3PM ET), which both broadcast from the network’s headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. She is also author of The Exchange newsletter, which includes commentary from Evans about top market stories.
She joined the network in February 2012 as an on-air correspondent, reporting across CNBC’s Business Day programming. Evans was most recently co-anchor of CNBC’s “Closing Bell,” and earlier, “Squawk on the Street” and “Worldwide Exchange” based in London.
Prior to CNBC, Evans was an economics reporter and “Heard on the Street” columnist for The Wall Street Journal. She also hosted the daily “News Hub” program on WSJ.com. Evans joined the Journal in 2007 after graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA.

Patrick Manning, PhD
Dr. Patrick Manning is Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology and the Director of the Center for Catholic Studies at Seton Hall University. He specializes in the areas of theological education, religious education, and catechesis with a particular interest in how learner psychology and neuroscience can enhance the ways we hand on the faith.
To this work he brings experience as a parish catechist, as a teacher at secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels, and as a father of three children. His forthcoming book, Be Still and Know: The Gift of Contemplative Christianity for Education Today explores how contemplative practices can support learning, mental health, relationships, and spirituality in the context of Catholic schools.

Fr. Mario Powell, SJ
Fr. Mario Powell, SJ
Father Mario M. Powell, S.J., is a Jesuit Catholic educator and priest who has taught and worked in both secondary and middle-school settings within the Jesuit school network of the Jesuits East Province. He has served as President of Brooklyn Jesuit Prep, a school that works to break the cycle of poverty through faith-based education.
Prior to his appointment at BJP, Father Powell, SJ served at Regis High School in Manhattan as the Director of the REACH Program, an educational and leadership program that prepares Catholic middle-school students from families with financial need to earn scholarships to Regis High School as well as to other leading high schools in New York City. His success in developing and expanding this program attests to his focus on the importance of quality education in changing the trajectory of the lives of students from migrant and minority families.
A year ago, Father Powell, S.J., was appointed as the Provincial Assistant for Secondary and Pre-Secondary Education for the Jesuits East Province. He oversees the governance of 30 Jesuit high schools, middle schools and grade schools from Atlanta, Georgia to Portland, Maine.
Father Powell, S.J. has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boston College and St. Louis University. In addition to his current duties, Father Powell sits on board of trustees at Regis High School, Xavier High School, where he serves as Vice-Chair, Le Moyne College, and Fairfield University.
Joseph McCleary, PhD
Joseph McCleary, PhD
Dr. McCleary brings over 35 years leadership experience in both the public and private school settings, with positions ranging from headmaster to president. At the beginning of his career he spent 21 years at the Heights School in Potomac, MD where he left as Head of the Lower School to co-found the Avalon School in Maryland.
Dr. McCleary went on to become the superintendent of the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School, managing three campuses with 10 buildings and 1,450 K-12 students across six towns, which led to national rankings in Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report and The Washington Post for six consecutive years. He then transitioned to the Advanced Math and Science Academy (AMSA) Charter School in Marlborough, MA, where he served as executive director overseeing faculty, staff and 970 students in grades 6-12. He led the school to a number one ranking in Boston Magazine in 2016.
Following AMSA, Dr. McCleary was recruited to The Schools of St. Mary in Manhasset, New York, which serves 600 students in nursery through grade 12. He is a published author and invited presenter in northeastern academia and has received multiple awards and fellowships spanning his career.
Dr. McCleary earned a Ph.D. in English from The Catholic University of America and holds an M.A. in English from Georgetown University and a B.A. in English from Towson University.
